Seminar Project

So i am thinking that I am going to do either black or black and white for my colors documentary.  I have some really cool ideas for visual transitions and stuff, but I feel like I will need a better quality camera to really do them to my liking than the cannon that I own or the hand-held cannons the dmp has.  I wonder if there's any where i can borrow a camera built for effects?  I just really can't stand grainy footage, and my camera certainly gets that.  I suppose I could just buy an HD tape, but If i don't have an HD camera that will do me little good.  Are the DMP cameras HD?  I also think it might be cool to do another color, but i don't know which.  The only colors I feel like I wouldn't get bored with are red and green.  Ooh i just thought of gold. I could do so much with gold: value, royalty, superficialism, or maybe play with the idea that you add metal, industry, class, you classify and materialize a happy color like yellow and you get gold which can sort of become a black hole.  See, the idea of a black hole would be soooo cool though!  like using that metaphor.  There are so many things i could do visually with a black hold metaphor.  ugh.  So many ways to go with this.

  1. Hey there.

I've been thinking about what color I should do...if you decide not to do the black&white, let me know, because I'm liking white right now. If you've decided to go that way already, that's no problem too. I'll stick with blue otherwise, because I think blue is often cliched, and I'd like to see if I can stay away from those, make blue something different.

  2. Hm, just kidding. I have switched again, this time to red. I've decided that I don't need to worry about school spirit - it won't go there because I won't take it there. Red for me. I'm not changing my mind again.

  3. I am still very interested in green if no one has any objections. I hope to do some filming this weekend.
